"At that time, T-ara members were all victims, but my hasty decision made them the perpetrators. That is the most regrettable thing in my 40 years of career" - Mr. Kim Kwang Soo shared.
The former CEO said that he tried to reconcile with former member Hwa Young and her family but failed. In the end, he decided to let T-ara take responsibility to protect the reputation of Hwa Young and her twin sister, actress Hyo Young.
Through the program, Mr. Kwang Soo shared that he was very touched when T-ara often visited him on his birthday. At the same time, he publicly apologized to them on television.

Immediately, Hwa Young posted a counter-letter accusing Mr. Kwang Soo, claiming that the former CEO was biased and distorted the truth 12 years ago.
"I think I should correct the mistake in your words. The truth is that I was bullied by the current members of T-ara" - Hwa Young wrote in the letter on her personal page.
Chosun reported that actress Hyo Young, Hwa Young's sister, and a source A believed to be a former employee who worked with T-ara also spoke up to defend Hwa Young.
"T-ara members have very strong personalities so it was difficult for Hwa Young to integrate because she joined later. She was even hated because she got into the group because of her connections. At first I didn't believe it, but many staff members said that Hwa Young was beaten by other members" - source A posted on forums.

The protected, the criticized
On Allkpop , fans tend to defend T-ara and criticize Hwa Young in return.
"Is Hwa Young lying again?"; "She's lying and changing her story again"; "Maybe source A is Hwa Young's close friend or family member, it's not trustworthy; "It's a pity for T-ara to have to mention this again" ... are comments from fans.
Perhaps they are tired of talking about this bullying scandal again after 12 years. However, some people are still curious to know the truth.
Many viewers also criticized former CEO Kim Kwang Soo for telling this story on television.
"Maybe he wants to promote his name"; "After 12 years, he finally apologizes? That's too much"; "It's funny that he brought up the sad stories of T-ara members"... - the audience disagreed with the former CEO's actions.
On Jiyeon's personal page, the member who was once exposed by Hwa Young as a bully, has received criticism from the public. Many fans left comments such as: "Did you really hit Hwa Young?"; "Please explain why you bullied Hwa Young"...
Currently, T-ara members have not yet spoken out about the incident.

In 2012, images of Hwa Young's ankle injury caused T-ara members to be suspected of bullying.
The scandal caused T-ara to go from being a top girl group to being chased away every time they appeared. Some members had to work individually, even leaving the entertainment industry.
It wasn't until 2017 that T-ara was cleared of the charges when former CEO Kwang Soo spoke up. But at that time, the group only had 4 members left: Eun Jung, Hyomin, Ji Yeon and Qri.
Despite their efforts, the group could not return to their former position, leaving many fans regretful.
