Ho Chi Minh City Seven victims of the fire in two rented rooms in Dong Nai are being treated at three hospitals: Children's Hospital 1, Children's Hospital 2 and Cho Ray Hospital, with 80-90% burns.
On June 4, a representative of Children's Hospital 1 said that two 13-year-old patients were transferred to the hospital in Ba Ria - Vung Tau the day before in critical condition and were not accompanied by relatives. The boy was admitted to the hospital in shock, with a rapid and weak pulse, blood pressure difficult to measure, and was diagnosed with third- or fourth-degree gasoline burns covering about 90% of his body. The girl was also in shock, with third- or fourth-degree gasoline burns covering 80% of her body.
Doctors treated the two children actively, put them on ventilators, anti-shock, antibiotics, and bronchial lavage.
Two other children, 13 and 15 years old, were transferred to Children's Hospital 2, also in serious condition.
Cho Ray Hospital received three patients, two of whom were men with burns to 90% of their bodies. The remaining patient was a woman with 10% skin burns but severe respiratory burns.

On the morning of June 3, residents of Hamlet 2, Phuoc Binh Commune, heard shouts and cries for help from a dormitory for workers and ran to see two rooms on fire. Residents and authorities put out the fire and brought it under control after two hours. Seven victims suffered severe burns and were taken to the hospital. Many belongings in the dormitory were burned.
Long Thanh District Police initially determined that the man in room number 10 may have been jealous and set fire to room number 3 - where his lover lived, then set fire to his own room. This person was among the burn victims.
