(Dan Tri) - According to the leader of the People's Committee of Soc Son District (Hanoi), the price of the land plot being paid up to 30 billion VND/m2 may be due to a mistake on the part of the customer. Land plots priced at 90-100 million VND/m2 may have their deposits forfeited.
On the morning of November 29, Soc Son district (Hanoi) organized an auction of 58 land lots in Dong Lai village, Quang Tien commune.
58 plots of land were auctioned with areas ranging from 90 - 224 m2, with a starting price of 2.4 million VND/m2. The auction was conducted by direct voting in at least 5 rounds using the ascending price method.
The deposit for each land plot auction is equal to 20% of the auctioned land plot value according to the approved starting price, equivalent to from 223 million VND to nearly 550 million VND.
On the same afternoon, a photo of the land price results of this auction was circulated on social networks, with some lots costing up to 30 billion VND/m2.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, a leader of Soc Son District People's Committee said that he had received information about plots of land being offered at prices up to 30 billion VND/m2. "This could be due to the wrong price paid by participants," he said.
In his personal opinion, he believes that the auction will have lots of land with prices up to 90-100 million VND/m2, which may be forfeited. Because, according to the market price in Mai Dinh commune - considered to have a beautiful location, the highest transaction price is only 51-53 million VND/m2.
"There are some land speculator groups in Soc Son, participating in auctions to inflate land prices to sell plots of land they already own in the area," said the leader of the People's Committee of Soc Son district.
Since August, many auctions of land in the suburbs of Hanoi have attracted hundreds of participants. Winning prices have continuously set new records for many plots of land at over 100 million VND/m2. However, recently, winning auction prices for land in the suburbs of Hanoi have shown signs of "cooling down" after many actions from the authorities.
