WATCH CLIP :
Today (January 1, 2025), the General Staff Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police Department initially informed about the case of a female train crossing guard who was beaten and had her nose broken while on duty. The incident occurred on the evening of December 30 at the train crossing at km1717+600 Kha Van Can Street, Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc City.
Accordingly, the Investigation Police Agency of Thu Duc City Police has issued an emergency arrest warrant and decided to detain Nguyen Thuy Trang (37 years old, from Bac Lieu, temporarily residing in Hiep Binh Chanh ward) for 3 days for the act of Intentionally causing injury.
The above decisions and orders have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Thu Duc City.
According to the investigation, at 8:35 p.m. on December 30, 2024, Trang drove a Yamaha Jupiter motorbike with license plate 51S7-8829 carrying Mr. Ngo Thanh Tien (37 years old, residing in Binh Thanh district) on Kha Van Can street, from Uu Dam pagoda to Pham Van Dong street in Hiep Binh Chanh ward.
When arriving at the train barrier at km1717+600 Kha Van Can road, they encountered a train with the engine number H4501 moving from Thu Duc city to Saigon station. At this time, Ms. Hoang Thi Binh (49 years old, from Thanh Hoa, temporarily residing in Hiep Binh Chanh ward, an employee performing the task of blocking the train barrier to ensure the safety of the railway corridor) had completely closed the barrier.
However, there was a couple (unknown origin) stuck inside, so Ms. Binh said that if they had already passed, they should stay here and when the train passed, the barrier would be opened to let them pass.
But then a young man wearing a Grab shirt (unknown identity) stood next to the barrier and raised the fence to let the couple drive towards Uu Dam Pagoda. Ms. Binh asked the young man to stop and an argument broke out.
Trang parked her car next to the train barrier and said to Ms. Binh: "Let people pass, why are you so mean?" Ms. Binh replied: "What do you know, just shut up." Hearing that, Trang angrily parked her car, walked closer and continuously attacked Ms. Binh until people pulled her away.
After the incident, Ms. Binh went to Thu Duc City Hospital for emergency care, then went to Hiep Binh Chanh Ward Police to report and file a request for criminal proceedings against Trang.
The police invited Trang to interview and she admitted all her actions.
