Initial information, on the morning of November 28, after their child went to school, Mr. LVT (48 years old, residing in Rach Nhum hamlet, Khanh Binh Dong commune, Tran Van Thoi district) and his wife locked the door to go to the shrimp farm in Vien An commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau. At about 11:30 a.m. the same day, L.D.D (17 years old, Mr. LVT's son) came home from school and discovered that things in the room were in disarray and the bedroom glass door was broken, so he called his parents to inform them. Mr. LVT and his wife went home to check and discovered that many assets were missing, so they reported it to the Khanh Binh Dong commune police.

According to Mr. LVT's report, the lost assets included 7 24K gold rings (totaling 6.7 taels); 1 3-tael ring; 1 3-tael necklace; 3 pairs of 2-tael earrings (all 18K gold) and 1 mobile phone. The total value of the lost assets was more than 500 million VND.

Immediately after that, the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department directed the Criminal Police Department to investigate the case. The Criminal Police Department examined the scene, collected documents and evidence, and coordinated with local police to review, verify, quickly screen and identify the suspect.

However, after stealing the property, the suspect left the area. The Criminal Police Department quickly deployed forces to search for him. At around 9:00 a.m. on December 1, the Criminal Police Department discovered and urgently arrested Nguyen Vu Hao, who was hiding in Long Tho Commune, Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai). The suspect was transferred to Ca Mau for investigation and clarification.
