Forbes Vietnam's 12th list of the 50 best listed companies shows that many industries have recovered profits from the bottom, but the spread is uneven, reflecting the fluctuations of the economy during the recent difficult period.
To make the List of 50 best listed companies in 2024, companies listed on HSX and HNX are evaluated through many steps. In the preliminary round, companies need to meet the following conditions: making a profit in 2023, with revenue and capitalization of at least VND 500 billion.
In the next round, companies are quantitatively scored on five criteria: compound growth rate of revenue, profit, ROE, ROC and EPS growth for the period 2019 - 2023.
Forbes Vietnam conducts qualitative research to assess the sustainable development of enterprises: the company's position in the industry, source of profit, quality of corporate governance, and industry prospects. The data used for calculation is the audited consolidated financial statements of 2023; capitalization data is finalized on May 30, 2024.

Fortune - The magazine famous for its prestigious world rankings, for the first time, conducted a ranking in Southeast Asia: Fortune SEA 500. In which, Bao Viet Group (BVH) is the representative of the insurance industry in Vietnam in the ranking. Fortune announced Bao Viet's 2023 business index with revenue reaching 2,415.7 million USD, up 4.7% and profit reaching 74.9 million USD, up 12.9% compared to 2022.
Meeting strict criteria for evaluating business scale and value of contribution to the economy, as well as the growth rate of revenue and profit of Bao Viet Group - important factors for Fortune magazine to include Bao Viet in the list of Fortune 500 of Southeast Asia this year.
Fortune conducted the Southeast Asia ranking to reflect the region's impressive growth story through the development and growth of large companies across multiple sectors. The first ranking included companies from 07 Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines and Cambodia across 57 sectors.
