(CLO) On March 18, at the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Comrade Pham Song Ha, Member of the Editorial Board, Head of the Political-Diplomatic Department, received Comrade Trau Hoc Mien, Head of the Xinhua News Agency's Resident Office in Vietnam, who came to visit and work.
On the occasion of comrade Trau Hoc Mien's arrival to take up his duties in Vietnam, comrade Song Ha informed the Chief of the Xinhua News Agency's Resident Office about the history of formation and development of Nhan Dan Newspaper over the past 70 years.

Nhan Dan Newspaper is currently one of the leading multimedia media agencies in Vietnam with publications: Nhan Dan Daily, Nhan Dan Monthly, Nhan Dan Weekend, Thoi Nay Newspaper and Nhan Dan Electronic. Nhan Dan Electronic, in addition to the Vietnamese version, also has foreign language versions: Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
Comrade Song Ha affirmed that all forms of Nhan Dan Newspaper, especially print and electronic newspapers, are in the process of strong innovation to carry out the political tasks assigned by the Party and State, bringing Nhan Dan Newspaper closer to all classes of people.
Briefly introducing the organizational structure and operations of Xinhua News Agency, comrade Zhou Xuemian said that Xinhua News Agency and Nhan Dan Newspaper have many similarities, so the two sides have many opportunities to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences in information and propaganda work.
In the spirit of recent meetings between senior leaders of Xinhua News Agency and Nhan Dan Newspaper, Comrade Trau Hoc Mien hopes that the two sides will soon sign a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in the field of journalism and media.
Agreeing with comrade Trau Hoc Mien's opinion, comrade Song Ha said that the professional departments of Nhan Dan Newspaper are studying the signing of a memorandum of understanding and will soon submit it to the Editor-in-Chief.
The two sides agreed that this memorandum of understanding will contribute to promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two major press agencies of Vietnam and China, making an important contribution to enhancing understanding and traditional friendship between the two countries.
