International press comments and predicts the score of the match between Vietnam and Iraq

Many newspapers around the world have predicted the result of the match between Vietnam and Iraq taking place at 6:30 p.m. today (January 24).

Vietnam have been eliminated from the 2023 Asian Cup after two defeats against Indonesia and Japan. Meanwhile, Iraq secured the top spot in the group after defeating the two aforementioned teams. However, ahead of the match, Coach Troussier called on the whole team to play their best to achieve favorable results.

The world press has made predictions about the outcome of the match between Vietnam and Iraq. It seems that the Vietnam team has not kept the trust of the international media. Most of the predictions believe that Iraq will win this match.

Sport Mole (UK) commented: "Iraq has secured a ticket to the next round after an extremely impressive victory over the Japanese team. The "Mesopotamian Lion" (Iraq's nickname) has stood firm against the great pressure of the opponent.

Iraq are aiming for a historic milestone. In the past, they have never won all 3 matches in the group stage when participating in the Asian Cup. The whole Iraqi team is full of confidence towards victory as they have won 4/5 matches against the Vietnamese team in the past.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team is going through a difficult period with coach Troussier. They have lost all 3 matches in 2024. Sadly, for the first time in history, the Vietnamese team had to stop right at the group stage of the Asian Cup."

Commenting on the match, Sport Mole added: "The Vietnamese team is in decline. Meanwhile, Iraq is in high spirits. Most likely, the West Asian team will continue their impressive record against the Vietnamese team."

Sport Mole predicts Iraq will win 1-0 against Vietnam.

Sportskeeda (India) shares the same view. They commented: "Iraq entered the match with the Vietnamese team with pride after winning against Indonesia and Japan. On the other hand, the Vietnamese team had a tournament to forget.

They played quite well in the 2-4 loss to Japan but lost to Indonesia. Now coach Troussier is having a headache finding a way to stop the team's decline.

Sportskeeda predicts that Iraq will beat Vietnam with a score of 3-1.

Pikiran Rakyat (Indonesia) also rated Iraq as better than the Vietnamese team at this time. They predicted the West Asian team to win 1-0 against Coach Troussier's team.

Meanwhile, Bola (Indonesia) newspaper believes in the efforts of the Vietnamese team and predicts the match will end in a 2-2 draw.
