(CLO) On November 5, the Ministry of Justice organized a seminar on “Press and Vietnam Law Day”. The seminar aimed to communicate and spread the spirit of respect for the Constitution and the law, and the message of the General Secretary on innovation in thinking in building and enforcing laws, in the direction of transforming the thinking of building laws.

At the Seminar, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Justice Le Thu Anh acknowledged the close coordination of press and media agencies in disseminating and communicating activities on law-making and law enforcement in general and of the Ministry of Justice in particular. Ms. Le Thu Anh also expressed her hope that press agencies will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Justice to promote communication work in a more in-depth direction, building many lines of legal commentary and social criticism to meet the requirements of building the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new period.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Director of the Press Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) Dang Khac Loi said that in recent times, key press agencies such as Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam , etc. have done a good job in communicating, educating, and disseminating the law. In the coming time, press agencies need to strengthen digital transformation, closely coordinate with the Ministry of Justice to communicate about the law, and promptly inform about draft laws being considered and approved by the National Assembly at the ongoing 8th Session.

Speaking at the seminar, Ms. Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung, Deputy General Director of VNA, said that Vietnam News Agency identifies information, propaganda, legal dissemination, and policy communication as important tasks; if this work is done well, it will contribute to orienting public opinion, creating consensus among people, and effectively implementing legal policies into life.

Therefore, Vietnam News Agency has proactively coordinated with the Ministry of Justice to build the column "Building a Socialist Rule of Law State of Vietnam", in which it has increased interviews with experts on the General Secretary 's message on innovation in thinking about building and enforcing laws in the coming period, attracting the attention of readers.

In addition, the News Agency also strengthens propaganda about new contents in draft laws expected to be passed at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, especially draft laws that have strong impacts on social life.

At the Seminar, representatives of press agencies shared their experiences in disseminating the law and proposed directions and methods of communication in the new period. At the same time, they proposed specific contents such as: creating conditions for press agencies to access legal policies right from the drafting stage so that they can communicate before, during and after the draft Law is passed, thereby helping people better understand the new policies, the obstacles and difficulties that have been resolved...
