(PLVN) – On the evening of October 12, the leaders of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee awarded the national 5-star OCOP product certificate for Hoang Gia Golden Dragon Green Bean Cake to Hoang Giang Joint Stock Company. On Bach Dang Street - the walking street of Hai Duong Province, the Company's new showroom was also officially opened.
According to the decision approving the results of the evaluation and classification of products of the National One Commune One Product Program in 2024 (phase 1) by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the Royal Golden Dragon green bean cake product of Hoang Giang Joint Stock Company was granted a national OCOP product certificate by the MARD, and is allowed to use the national OCOP logo and stamp on packaging, labels and documents introducing and promoting the product according to regulations.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Pham Thi Dao - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong province shared that when mentioning green bean cake, everyone must think of Hai Duong. Green bean cake has long become a symbolic product, the pride of Hai Duong people. The cake has a fragrant, delicious, and light flavor, enjoying this specialty has gradually become a unique traditional art of the nation.

After more than 100 years of preserving and developing traditional crafts, Hai Duong province currently has over 50 green bean cake brands, favored by consumers nationwide and exported to many markets around the world.
According to the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong province, although the Royal Golden Dragon brand was only established in 1997, with the efforts and dynamism of the company, it has quickly affirmed its position and brand in the market. In 2014, the Royal Golden Dragon was honored as one of 8 Vietnamese specialties that set a record for Vietnamese gift specialties and Asian gift specialties; the Royal Golden Dragon is currently the only green bean cake product nationwide that meets the 5-star OCOP standard.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong province suggested that in the coming time, Hoang Giang Joint Stock Company should regularly pay attention to improving the production process system in a modern direction; research and develop more products that meet 5-star OCOP standards; have a plan to coordinate with localities in the province to build raw material areas; research more experiential tourism models to contribute to promoting traditional cultural features. At the same time, contribute to preserving and developing the quintessence of traditional specialties, bringing Vietnamese specialties to the international level.
