This morning, January 23, a delegation of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Quang Tri province, led by the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the VBS in Quang Tri province, Most Venerable Thich Quang Thien, visited and extended New Year greetings to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. At the reception, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Provincial Executive Committee, Most Venerable Thich Quang Thien, respectfully thanked the provincial leaders for always paying attention and creating favorable conditions for Buddhist activities.
In recent times, especially in 2024, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province has organized many charity and social security activities in the province; built houses for the poor, gave gifts to people in difficult circumstances; gave gifts to people in the North who suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 3...
I hope that the provincial leaders will continue to pay attention and support the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province in the coming time, so that the Buddhist work will continue to develop; successfully organize the United Nations Vesak 2025, build the provincial Buddhist College and continue to organize activities to support people in difficult circumstances in the province.
Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Provincial Executive Committee, Most Venerable Thich Quang Thien, wished Quang Tri province many new steps of development, many achievements in all fields; wished the provincial leaders and people a new year of peace and prosperity.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung emphasized: The province's achievements have the contribution of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and monks, nuns and Buddhists. Acknowledging and highly appreciating the activities of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee in organizing many practical and meaningful programs and activities for the poor and those in especially difficult circumstances.
Currently, the province is implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with the determination to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by August 2025. The motto of action is "Whoever has something to help, those who have money contribute money, those who have merit contribute merit, those who have a lot contribute a lot, those who have a little contribute a little" to create great solidarity, join hands to support the poor, those in difficult circumstances, not leaving anyone behind in the era of national development.
I hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province will have more practical activities, accompanying the province to support families in difficult circumstances to build a better life. Continue to accompany the leaders, cadres and people to build a strong national solidarity bloc; mobilize monks, nuns and Buddhists to live a "good life, good religion", compete in labor production, organize many charitable activities, social security and contribute more to the overall development of the province.
On the occasion of the traditional New Year of At Ty - 2025, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dao Manh Hung sent the best wishes to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province and dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhists to celebrate a peaceful, joyful, and happy New Year.
