The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee met with Front officials through the periods

On the occasion of preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, on the afternoon of January 20, in Hanoi , the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee organized a meeting with retired officials of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. Attending the meeting were Mr. Pham The Duyet, former Standing Member, Standing Member of the Politburo, former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Huynh Dam, former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; and delegates who are former leaders, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee through the periods.

At the meeting, Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha reviewed 10 typical activities and events of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in 2024. Accordingly, the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024 - 2029 term and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024 - 2029 term were successful, creating a strong influence among the people, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc; The Vietnam Fatherland Front has resolutely summarized the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient"; Completed 5,500 great solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces; Organized a meeting to honor more than 14,000 Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

According to Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front mobilized agencies, enterprises, organizations and individuals at home and abroad to support large resources to send to people in 26 provinces and cities in the Northern region to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi); at the same time, publicly, transparently, promptly and effectively distributed support resources and allocated support to localities affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi); organized the National Great Unity Day 2024 in residential areas across the country, creating an atmosphere of excitement, enthusiasm, solidarity and consensus, contributing to consolidating the solid position of people's hearts.

Along with that, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with the Central Emulation and Reward Council to launch the emulation movement of the whole country joining hands to "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025, which received the support of many people from all walks of life; successfully organized the 16th "For the cause of great national unity" Press Award, 2023 - 2024; successfully organized the 5th Conference of the Presidents of the Fronts of the three countries of Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam; successfully coordinated to organize the 2nd "Village Support" Program, 2024.

In a warm atmosphere, on behalf of the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his joy at meeting generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee through the periods in the house of great solidarity, sharing the joy of welcoming the New Year of At Ty 2025.

Chairman Do Van Chien said that every time Tet comes, generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee through the periods are even more proud of having devoted their efforts to the work of the Front, contributing a small part of their efforts to, together with the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, strengthen and consolidate the great national unity bloc, and firmly consolidate the people's hearts.

With that meaning, Chairman Do Van Chien hopes that retired cadres of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will always give the agency warm feelings, care and help so that the Vietnam Fatherland Front can increasingly better fulfill its noble mission.

Reviewing the country's socio-economic situation in 2024, Chairman Do Van Chien said that 2024 is a very special year. The entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army have united with the Party Central Committee, headed by General Secretary To Lam, and have strived to overcome all difficulties and challenges, achieving 15/15 socio-economic targets, including very impressive targets such as: economic growth of 7.09%; budget revenue of 300,000 billion VND; Vietnam is among the 35 strongest economies in the world, Vietnam's happiness index increased by 11 places.

According to Chairman Do Van Chien, in order to keep pace with the world, participate more deeply in world politics, global economy and human civilization, the Politburo has just issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, which is an important driving force to push the country into a new era.

"At today's meeting, you and your comrades have made many heartfelt statements. We will accept and study them to apply them in practice with the hope of contributing to making the work of the Front better and better, achieving better results in 2025 than in 2024; contributing to the whole Party, people and army to enter a new era, striving to build an increasingly powerful, prosperous and happy country; implementing the sacred will of beloved Uncle Ho: building a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam", Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized.

On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025, Chairman Do Van Chien sent his best wishes to former leaders and cadres of the Front through the periods, wishing them a healthy, happy new year and a new year of new victories.
