Handover of 1,000 houses called for support by the Ministry of Public Security by the end of March

The 1,000 houses that the Ministry of Public Security called for support to build in Ha Tinh have now been basically completed. The solid houses that have been built are also the dreams of households with housing difficulties coming true.

Due to the difficult family situation when her husband suffered from a serious illness, the house was seriously degraded and could collapse at any time, so the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Lien (Linh Tan residential group, Thach Linh ward, Ha Tinh city) received support from the Ministry of Public Security and the Party Committee, government, and organizations to build a house. Construction started at the end of September 2023, 2 months later, Mrs. Lien was welcomed with joy in her new solid house.

Ms. Lien shared: “This past Tet, my family was able to live in a new house. With the support from the Ministry of Public Security; the joint efforts of the locality, organizations, neighbors, and relatives, my new house was completed with a budget of nearly 140 million VND. Thanks to the initial support from the Ministry of Public Security, my family had the motivation to borrow money and receive more support from everyone to complete the house.”

Local leaders visited the new house of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nhan (village 3, Cam Minh commune, Cam Xuyen) built from the support fund of the Ministry of Public Security.

After more than 2 months of living in the new house given by the Ministry of Public Security, the family of Nguyen Nhu Tinh (village 4, Hoa Hai commune, Huong Khe) is still very happy. Although the small house does not have many furniture and appliances, it is solid enough to protect the whole family from the rain and sun after many hardships.

Mr. Tinh confided: “My wife and I have unstable jobs, we are poor households in the village, so building a house is something I did not dare to think about. Now that I am living in a new house, I am very grateful to the Ministry of Public Security and the agencies and organizations that have helped my family.”

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hai Commune (Huong Khe) said: “Hoa Hai is fortunate to be a locality that has received support for house construction from the Ministry of Public Security with a large number of 31 houses. Deployed from the end of August 2023 to now, all houses have been completed and put into use. The families receiving support are all poor households, extremely disadvantaged households, and single-parent households. In addition to the support from the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Relief Fund, and support from the district and commune in terms of materials and funding; the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune has called for working days from relatives and neighbors to help the families. That enhances the solidarity and tradition of mutual love of the nation”.

It is known that starting from June 2023, the Ministry of Public Security will implement a program to support the construction of 1,000 houses for the poor and disadvantaged people from mobilized sources, calling on BRG Group and SeABank to sponsor funds for Ha Tinh. To implement this content, Ha Tinh has established a steering committee, calculated specific plans and mobilized the participation of Party committees, authorities, and political organizations.

The estimated budget to support each house is 87,248,000 VND. Of which, the Ministry of Public Security mobilized and supported 50 million VND/house; from the Provincial Relief Fund, 20 million VND/house; the remaining budget (more than 17 million VND), districts, cities, and towns mobilized resources to support.

Up to now, Ha Tinh has basically completed the construction of 1,000 houses with support from the Ministry of Public Security and the joint efforts and contributions of the whole community.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department said: "Up to now, Ha Tinh has basically completed the construction of 1,000 houses from the support call of the Ministry of Public Security, the province's counterpart fund and the joint efforts and contributions of the whole community. It is expected that at the end of the first quarter of 2024, the inauguration ceremony and handover of all 1,000 houses will be held.

The solid houses built are also the dreams of the households with housing difficulties in the area have come true. From here, they have more confidence and motivation to overcome difficulties and build a new life. Thereby, contributing to promoting the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and affection; at the same time, strengthening the close relationship between the police force and the people in the cause of ensuring and maintaining security and order, building a solid people's security posture."
