On the evening of September 30, Van Don district held a conference to discuss solutions to remove difficulties for businesses, cooperatives, and households to restore aquaculture in Van Don district. Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the conference.

With the goal of quickly restoring marine farming in Van Don district after storm No. 3, ensuring social security and welfare for people, implementing the direction of the province, the People's Committee of Van Don district has promptly deployed solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises, cooperatives, and aquaculture households.
In addition to working with credit institutions to postpone and extend debt and create conditions for businesses, cooperatives and households to access new loans, the People's Committee of Van Don district has taken steps to hand over the sea area under its jurisdiction within the 3-nautical mile area. By September 30, the People's Committee had completed handing over the location, coordinates, landmarks and sea area to nearly 600 households of 50 cooperatives, with an area of 4,553 hectares, an increase of 118% compared to before storm No. 3.
After having the location and coordinates, 75 oyster farming households deployed ropes and buoys with an area of 495 hectares and planted 90 hectares, concentrated in the areas of Ban Sen, Ha Long, Dong Xa, Thang Loi. Along with that, fish cage farming households also repaired and fixed about 2,000 cages affected by the storm.

Enterprises, cooperatives, and aquaculture households are excited by the attention of the province, district, and credit institutions in supporting and removing difficulties; they hope to continue receiving support for seeds, capital, creating favorable conditions for accessing sources of supplies and materials in aquaculture, and soon handing over the sea surface for people to reproduce.
Based on the discussion between enterprises, cooperatives, aquaculture households with local authorities and credit institutions, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged the efforts of the Party Committee, authorities and credit institutions in Van Don district to quickly implement support solutions for people and enterprises. Up to now, many marine farming areas have been assigned to organizations and people and new breeds have been released to restore production.

With the authority of the province, the Provincial People's Council has issued policies to support people and businesses that suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3 and has made legitimate recommendations to the Government to propose amending a number of inappropriate and unprecedented mechanisms and policies.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with the spirit of solidarity and determination to "live for the sea, get rich from the sea", enterprises, cooperatives and aquaculture households in Van Don district will soon overcome difficulties and restore production in a more sustainable way.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also thanked businesses operating in the field of marine aquaculture material production for sharing, sympathizing and supporting the aquaculture people of Van Don district. He hoped that in the coming time, these businesses would continue to support and create conditions to help people access more sustainable aquaculture materials that adapt to climate change.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Van Don district issued a decision to allocate the aquaculture area to 5 households raising marine fish in cages in Cai Rong town, with a total area of 2.5 hectares (each family is 0.5 hectares).
