An essay problem related to Chess made it difficult for many candidates in the 2023 Asia- Pacific Mathematics Competition.
Round 2 of this year's Asia- Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMOPS) takes place from 26 to May 28 in Singapore, with the participation of more than 200 contestants from 14 countries and territories. This is one of the most prestigious Math competitions for students under 12 years old today.
In round 1, candidates must solve 30 multiple-choice English problems and write their answers within 120 minutes. In round 2, candidates are required to solve 14 problems in 120 minutes, including 12 multiple-choice questions and two essay questions.
