In 2025, Bac Lieu province will allocate 403 billion VND to build the Outer Ring Road - Bac Lieu city project (phase 1).
On December 30, the People's Council of Bac Lieu province, term X, 2021-2026, held the 22nd session (special session), delegates reviewed and approved the resolution on amending and supplementing the public investment plan for 2025 from the local budget. In which, there was agreement on capital allocation for the Outer Ring Road Construction Project - Bac Lieu city (phase 1).

Specifically, the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period is 410 billion VND (allocated in 2021-2024 is 7 billion VND, the plan for 2025 is 403 billion VND), from the 2025 lottery reserve fund. The project is invested by the Bac Lieu Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project to build the Outer Ring Road - Bac Lieu City (phase 1) is invested with a total length of about 15km and 4 bridges, the project belongs to group B, with a total investment of more than 1,450 billion VND. The project implementation period is 2022-2026.
According to the environmental impact assessment report announced by the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic Works of Bac Lieu province, the Outer Ring Road - Bac Lieu city (phase 1) starts at the Cau Sap intersection (also known as Dan Xay bridge, ward 8, Bac Lieu city); the end point intersects with the Bac Lieu 4 bridge project and the road connecting to the Sea dike, divided into 5 sections.
The total area of rice fields recovered for road construction is 153,049 square meters, accounting for about 45% of the entire road area, with 113 households in Wards 1, 5 and Hiep Thanh Commune, Bac Lieu City.
The project is a secondary urban main street, from the end of Hoang Phat residential area to the intersection with Cao Van Lau road, total length 9.5km, road scale 6 lanes, cross section width 24m, including: Four lanes for motor vehicles, two lanes for non-motor vehicles, median strip, sidewalk and embankment. Design speed 60km/h.
Invest in two reinforced concrete bridges, including: Bac Lieu River Bridge (Km 21+270) and Ong Bon Canal Bridge (Km 7+677). Of which, Bac Lieu Canal Bridge has a total bridge length of 382.4m; Ong Bon Canal Bridge has a total bridge length of 25.7m.
Along with that, 5 intersections are built, including: The intersection at the beginning of the route intersecting with the invested Outer Ring Road; the intersection with Nam Song Hau Road; the planned intersection of Bac Lieu coastal road; the intersection with Lo Ren Road; the intersection at the end of the route, intersecting with Cao Van Lau Road.
According to the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, the investment in the construction of the route will gradually complete the traffic infrastructure system according to the approved plan, meeting the needs of goods transportation serving socio-economic development, people's daily life and production, security and defense, as well as expanding the urban space of Bac Lieu city, creating a driving force to attract investment.
