On October 8, the Center for Management and Exploitation of Irrigation Works of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that from 8:00 a.m. the same day, Da Den Lake began to discharge flood water, this is the 4th flood discharge of the year.
Previously, the weather forecast forecast widespread heavy rain in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, with heavy to very heavy rain in some places, mainly in the afternoon, evening and night.

To ensure irrigation works and proactively protect property and lives in affected areas, the Center for Management and Exploitation of Irrigation Works of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will discharge floodwaters from October 8 to October 18.
The Center has sent information about the flood discharge plan to localities to warn people to be proactive in production, absolutely not allowing people to fish, catch crabs, or catch snails in the downstream area of the flood discharge project.
The flood discharge is expected to affect households producing along both banks of the Dinh River from behind Da Den Lake to the Ben Suc area. Specifically, the communes and wards that will be affected include: Chau Pha (Phu My town), Tan Hung, Long Huong (Ba Ria city) on the right bank of the Dinh River; Hoa Long, Phuoc Hung, Phuoc Hiep (Ba Ria city), Nghia Thanh (Chau Duc district) on the left bank of the Dinh River.
