Ba Ria - Vung Tau: Continuous reform, aiming for people's satisfaction

On May 30, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a conference on solutions to improve the Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and the Provincial Green Index (PGI) in 2024.

In 2023, Ba Ria - Vung Tau ranked 9th out of 63 provinces and cities and led the Southeast provinces in terms of PAPI index (compared to 2022, this province increased by 25 places); ranked 6th in terms of PCI index (leading the Southeast region); in the top 10 provinces and cities in terms of PGI index.

In recent times, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has resolutely implemented many synchronous solutions to improve the investment and business environment, enhance service quality, and create satisfaction for people and businesses.

"The bad points must be improved. Good does not mean stopping but must continue to strive to do better. The province's viewpoint is to continuously reform towards people's satisfaction, creating a favorable business environment for enterprises in a sustainable and environmentally friendly direction," emphasized Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

At the conference, delegates said that Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is highly appreciated by businesses in improving the investment and business environment; the legal system creates trust for businesses... However, businesses in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province still face some difficulties related to accessing credit capital, finding customers, business partners, human resources...

Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, assigned the heads of agencies and units to immediately review the limitations and shortcomings, clearly identify responsibilities to find solutions to overcome difficulties and problems. Focus on promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation, helping to reduce time and costs for people and businesses; promptly resolve recommendations and effectively support investors.
