The stage of the art program scheduled to be held on the night of May 25 is being dismantled on the evening of May 24.

In an official dispatch issued on the afternoon of May 24, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province agreed to stop all activities of the Vietnam Sea and Island Festival - Vung Tau City 2024 from 5:00 p.m. the same day. The event was organized by the Phan Trong Binh People's Armed Forces Hero Social Work Fund.

The province requires the organizing unit to collect all items, hand over the site to Vung Tau City before noon on May 26, and be responsible for paying all costs, including contract compensation, to related parties.

According to the organizers, the festival will take place from May 23-26 in the Front Beach area of Vung Tau City, including yoga performances, a Vietnamese Ao Dai parade, mobile propaganda about Vietnam's seas and islands, and a food fair with 200 booths.

However, by the afternoon of May 24, the Phan Trong Binh People's Armed Forces Hero Social Work Fund had only been able to organize a yoga performance; a food fair, and a Vietnamese Ao Dai parade. The remaining events, including the art performance "Aspirational Journey" on the evening of May 25 with the participation of many famous artists, did not take place as planned.

The reason given by the Fund is that due to time constraints, partners and service providers cannot continue to accompany as agreed. In addition, the organizing committee found it impossible to complete the content to ensure compliance with the plan and goals approved by the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, so it requested to stop some activities.
