Cuong Seven recently attended an event in Ho Chi Minh City with the presence of many fans. As one of the 33 "talents" participating in the program Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, Cuong Seven has also received much attention and support from television audiences recently.
At the event, the 'dancing machine' revealed for the first time that there was a time when he temporarily put aside his passion and focused on studying to please his parents.
In 11th grade, his parents gave him money to take extra English classes but he secretly signed up for dance classes. In 12th grade, when he saw his grades were low, his father decided to take the bus from Long Bien to the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, where he practiced dancing and discovered his son's secret. His father talked to the group leader, making him very angry because he was not allowed to pursue hip hop, and it was also the first time he argued with his father.
“My family was not into art, especially the hiphop culture I pursued at that time, not everyone understood and accepted it,” Cuong Seven shared.
When he went to the South with a salary of nearly 40 million from the movie Truy Sat , Cuong Seven spent 20 million to buy his own costume and persuaded the director to let him wear that outfit. learned many lessons about how to behave when changing living environments. Previously, he and his parents had difficulty talking because of his passion for art, but since moving to Ho Chi Minh City to start a career, he understood his parents' reasons. Currently, the family relationship has improved a lot and they are the rear to support him in his career.
Cuong Seven shared that dancing and singing are not his talents. When he first started learning to dance, he often failed the exam every 2 months because he couldn't listen to music and remember the moves. The nickname "Cuong Seven" was given by Son - his beloved teacher. When he first started practicing b-boy, Cuong Seven had a move where he put his hands on the ground, his feet dangling to form the number 7 and practiced this move a lot. The nickname stuck with someone who really meant something to his work, so the name Cuong Seven was born.
Sharing with VietNamNet , Cuong Seven felt lucky to be invited to participate in Anh trai vu ngan cong gai but was not sure until signing the contract because there were many artists on the expected list. Initially, he felt pressure not only from himself but also from his SpaceSpeakers brothers and other artists, but he was determined to try 200%. After episode 2, he was more confident and this will help improve his music and performance in the following shows.
At the end of October, the program "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind 2024" will air with the participation of Vu Ngoc Anh's wife. The couple both encourage each other in their work. He sees that his wife is more serious and determined when focusing on this project, whereas before she was quite carefree. He went to see his wife perform and noticed a huge change. Cuong Seven sent his encouragement to his wife so that she could go further and achieve the best results.
2024 is a successful year for Cuong Seven with much love from the audience. At the end of the year, he will release an EP of 5 self-composed and produced songs, completed before returning to SpaceSpeakers. Each song is associated with the story of his friends and the male singer himself.
