Many students from primary and secondary schools in Hoan Kiem district visited the interactive exhibition Hanoi Flag Tower on the first day of opening. This is an opportunity for them to learn and expand their knowledge of culture and history, thereby helping them understand and love the capital more, nurturing beautiful dreams from childhood.
Nguyen Quang Anh - a 5H student at Trang An Primary School and Do Nha Uyen - a 6B student at Hoan Kiem Secondary School shared: "Here, I can search and visit to experience virtual reality, take photos at Hanoi Flag Tower and I feel very interested in this place. I will study well to strive to contribute to the capital and the country in the future."
"In my experience, I saw historical relics and information about the capital through the lens of virtual reality. I feel very proud and grateful to have come here to experience. I hope that my friends and I will study very well to be worthy of becoming future masters of the country."
Through the lens of augmented reality, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the army marching to Hanoi using mixed reality technology. This experience will recreate 10 important milestones in the process of liberating and taking over the capital in October 1954. Also here, famous historical relics and cultural destinations of the capital such as: Hoan Kiem Lake, Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Hanoi Flag Tower, Long Bien Bridge, Opera House, 5 Hanoi gates are vividly recreated with films and images in 3D space.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association said: "The event celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital is a very interesting occasion for us to bring viewers back to 70 years ago. We have combined with technology partners and used virtual reality glasses so that viewers can see pictures, listen to audio clips, watch videos from 70 years ago, see moving maps and even immerse themselves in the photos at the end of the tour around the Hanoi Flag Tower, and can even experience the moment of saluting the flag at the Hanoi Flag Tower 70 years ago".
The highlight of the special information campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital is the daily supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper with the theme of Hanoi Flag Tower. The special supplement includes 1 page of content about Hanoi Flag Tower and 1 page of cut and paste model. Readers can cut and paste the printed newspaper page into a model of Hanoi Flag Tower and interact with the model through 3 QR codes with expanded content and leading to other interesting projects in the ecosystem of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh highly appreciated the innovative and creative efforts of Nhan Dan newspaper when linking cultural and historical projects to expand public access in the new era: "Our heart is to never forget history, to look back to history with the purpose of respecting and honoring the sacrifices and contributions of many generations through many periods, not only on the occasion of October 10 but also with many other activities, contributing to thickening and cultivating history to serve as a fulcrum towards the future. In particular, on this occasion, Nhan Dan Newspaper also launched the project “Each person, a piece of the puzzle”. In this project, readers send personal photos to be combined into a large photo of Hanoi Flag Tower. On October 10, readers will use the provided code to find the location of their photo in the large published photo. Also on October 10, Nhan Dan Newspaper gives away a special supplement “Hanoi Flag Tower” for free to readers nationwide.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from October 9 to 13 at Nhan Dan Newspaper headquarters, 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi.
