CNN reported that rescue forces in northern India today, November 28, successfully rescued all 41 workers trapped in a collapsed tunnel under the Himalayas.
Video footage from the scene shows Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand state, meeting the workers, who appeared healthy, as they were brought out of the tunnel.
Rescuers have successfully drilled through a 60-meter thick layer of soil, rock, and concrete to reach the area where 41 workers are trapped in a collapsed mountain tunnel in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand state, northern India.

Forty-one workers have been trapped since November 12 when part of the tunnel they were building in Uttarakhand state collapsed, blocking their only escape route with more than 60m of rock, soil and concrete.
Rescuers managed to run a large pipe through the escape shaft to get the workers out safely.
Workers received food, water and oxygen through a 53m pipe fed through the rubble during the days they were trapped.
Doctors at the scene have been in constant contact with the trapped workers, giving them advice on staying calm. The miners’ families also gather at the tunnel exit every day to pray for their safe return.
