In recent days, there have been days when it rained from morning to night in Ho Chi Minh City. On the afternoon of September 18, when the rain had just stopped, Ms. Nguyen Minh Thu (51 years old) went to a crab noodle shop in an alley on Nguyen Bieu Street (District 5) to sell lottery tickets.

Here, Mrs. Thu received a raincoat from the raincoat basket with an invitation: "Saigon is in the rainy season, Mrs. Ba has prepared some raincoats. If you need them, please take them to wear. Mrs. Ba kindly gives them to you."

Ms. Thu shared that she has been selling lottery tickets for about 12 years. This is the first time she has received a raincoat from a shop, she feels very happy. "Receiving this raincoat makes my life less difficult, thank you shop for giving me the raincoat" - Ms. Thu said.

That same afternoon, Mr. Hai (living in District 8) rode his motorbike to the above shop to pick up an order to deliver to a customer. While waiting to pick up the order to deliver to the customer, Mr. Hai received a raincoat from the shop as a gift.

"During the rainy season, giving raincoats is a meaningful act. Sometimes drivers forget to bring raincoats and suddenly don't have any raincoats to deliver goods. Having a raincoat to cover the rain is also helpful," said Mr. Hai.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Do Thanh Long - owner of the crab noodle shop - said that during the recent hot weather, the shop had a box containing bottles of cold water to offer to drivers.

When the rainy season comes, from the beginning of July until now, the shop has bought about 500 raincoats to give to drivers who come to pick up orders, customers, lottery ticket sellers... who accidentally pass by and don't have raincoats.

According to Mr. Long, on September 18, due to the heavy rain, the number of raincoats given away by the shop increased to 80, many times higher than on short rainy days (each day the shop gives away about 10-20 raincoats).

"Now in the rainy season, I buy raincoats to give to drivers, customers, lottery ticket sellers, and people who make a living. It's a very small expense, I want to share it with you all" - Mr. Long shared.

Ho Chi Minh City and the South have widespread rain.

Mr. Le Dinh Quyet, head of the forecasting department of the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, said that in the coming days, the weather in the South will be affected by the tropical convergence zone connected to storm No. 4, and the southwest monsoon will be strong.

Therefore, the weather in the South and Ho Chi Minh City today until September 21 is cloudy, with widespread showers and thunderstorms, scattered moderate rain, and heavy to very heavy rain in some places.

This heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in some low-lying areas, affecting agricultural production, outdoor activities and traffic. In addition, thunderstorms may be accompanied by extreme phenomena such as lightning, tornadoes and gusts of wind, causing danger.
