9 months, budget revenue 376,430 billion VND

Regarding the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2024, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Ngoc Tu said that the state budget revenue in the area increased significantly compared to the same period; ensuring balanced budget expenditure. Specifically, the total state budget revenue in the city in the first 9 months of 2024 was 376,430 billion VND, reaching 92.1% of the estimate, up 22.2% over the same period.

Social investment capital in the third quarter reached VND143,928 billion, up 10.7% over the same period; in the first 9 months of the year it reached VND351,849 trillion, up 9.7% over the same period (same period increased by 9%). Total mobilized capital of credit institutions reached VND5,611 trillion, up 5.16%; total outstanding debt reached VND4,072 trillion, up 12.59%.

Export turnover in the third quarter reached 5,611 million USD, up 28.8%; in the first 9 months of the year it reached 14,447 million USD, up 16.8% over the same period (down 1.2% over the same period). The consumer price index increased sharply compared to the same period and the whole year target, the average CPI in the third quarter of 2024 increased by 3.97% (up 1.21% over the same period); in the first 9 months of the year it increased by 4.88% (up 1.22% over the same period).

Production and business activities remain stable, attracting foreign investment quite well. In the first 9 months of 2024, the city attracted 1,540.4 million USD of FDI capital, including 197 newly registered projects with a total investment capital of 1,111.5 million USD; 143 capital increases with a total registered capital increase of 220.7 million USD and 178 capital contributions and share purchases with a capital contribution value of 208.1 million USD.

In the first 9 months of 2024, there were 21,840 newly established enterprises with a capital of 198,986 billion VND. In total, the total number of registered enterprises to date is 397,008 enterprises.

Regarding agricultural production recovery after storm No. 3, the city has focused on harvesting summer-autumn rice, implementing the winter crop, the vegetable planting area is 203.3 hectares, reaching 0.7% of the plan. The total area put into aquaculture in the first 9 months of the year reached 19,821 hectares. Aquaculture output reached 91,300 tons, up 4% over the same period in 2023; Aquaculture output in the city reached 1,232 tons, down 5.52% over the same period in 2023.

Notably, tourism has seen good growth, with the total number of tourists to Hanoi (served by accommodation establishments) reaching 4.581 million, up 31.3% over the same period. In the fourth quarter of 2024, Hanoi will focus on accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital in 2024 and the medium-term plan for 2021-2025. Implement work to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, closely monitor weather and natural disaster developments, proactively direct and deploy response work to ensure timely and effective response.

At the same time, promote infrastructure development and applications serving digital transformation; expand the digital ecosystem of banking services connecting industries and fields. Focus on the production of supporting industrial products and key industrial products; promote the circulation of Hanoi's goods, especially OCOP products. Complete the Program of upgrading and perfecting the technical infrastructure of industrial clusters in the city by 2030.
