85,000 entries for writing contest about teachers and school

(NLDO) - The contest "Deep memories of teachers and school" 2024 has a strong influence with more than 85,000 entries.

On November 22, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the writing contest "Deep memories of teachers and school" in 2024 took place in Hanoi. The contest was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, with Education and Times Newspaper as the permanent unit.

The contest organizers awarded first prize to two authors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, said that this year the contest "Deep memories of teachers and schools" received more than 85,000 entries. The number of entries shows that the contest has a strong influence in schools, and also shows the interest and support of a large number of readers and people from all walks of life for the meaning of the contest.

The quality of the entries has also changed significantly, with many articles being heartfelt and leaving deep impressions. There are many beautiful, touching stories about the love, responsibility, perseverance, dedication, understanding, and skillful pedagogical behavior of teachers towards their students; helping students change from boredom to love learning, from self-consciousness to confidence, from people who always thought they were failures to success...

This year’s contest has more works about groups. The content of the entries is related to current issues, such as secondment of teachers, difficulties of teachers and students due to the impact of natural disasters, etc.

The Organizing Committee awarded 22 works, including 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes. In addition, there were 4 secondary prizes, 2 outstanding character prizes, and 2 prizes for 2 groups with many good quality entries.

The first prize was awarded to two works including "Drum Keys" (author Vo Thi Be, teacher at Vinh Dinh High School, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province) and "Alluvial Sediment" (author Nguyen Binh An, teacher at Chau Phong High School, Chau Phong commune, Tan Chau town, An Giang province).

The contest "Deep memories of teachers and schools" was held for the first time in 2018 to recognize and honor teachers with good jobs and achievements, actively contributing to educational innovation; recognize and honor educational institutions with many innovations and creativity in teaching and learning; spread the good feelings of students, parents towards teachers and schools.
