NATO members sending representatives to South Korea include the United States, Britain, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Romania and Poland on a three-day visit starting on December 13.
During the visit, the delegation plans to meet with top South Korean officials, including Defense Minister Shin Won-sik and First Vice Foreign Minister Chang Ho-jin.
The delegation will also attend the Forum on Women and Security organized by the US Embassy in Seoul.
This will be a rare NATO visit to strengthen regional security cooperation with non-NATO member South Korea in the Indo-Pacific region, after South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol attended two consecutive NATO Summits in 2022 and 2023.
