7,675 entries on protecting the Party's ideological foundation

Participating in the political writing contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints (3rd time) organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department and related units, Ha Tinh had 7,675 works.

The third political writing contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile views in 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the contest) was launched by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Council of Theory, Communist Magazine, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television and the Vietnam Journalists Association from January 2023.

Huong Khe District Party Committee held a conference to summarize and award prizes to the authors who won the district-level contest.

The contest has been deployed and widely spread among cadres, party members and people of Ha Tinh. Accordingly, after 6 months of implementation, the whole province has 7,675 works participating in the contest; of which 5,492 works belong to the magazine category, 1,655 works belong to the print newspaper category, 528 works belong to the electronic newspaper category.

The number of works that localities and units appraised and selected to send to the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department was 292. Of these, 182 were magazine works, 76 were print works, and 34 were electronic works. These works were scanned for duplication before being appraised and evaluated for content and quality of each entry.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department issued a decision to establish a team to evaluate and review the exam papers; review, classify, evaluate and select 67 works that meet the requirements of format, content and quality to send to the Central-level competition organizing committee. Of these, 28 works belong to the magazine category, 26 works belong to the print newspaper category, and 13 works belong to the electronic newspaper category.

Many localities and units have a large number of works submitted to the contest such as: Huong Khe, Cam Xuyen, Can Loc, Ha Tinh City, Hong Linh Town, Provincial Police Party Committee...

Some localities such as Huong Khe, Huong Son, Hong Linh town organized marking and rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals in responding and participating in the contest, thereby creating trust and motivation to encourage cadres, party members and people to actively respond and widely spread the contest.

Many entries were presented elaborately and invested methodically.

The works mainly focus on key issues in protecting the Party's ideological foundation such as: protecting, applying and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought; protecting and spreading the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the cause of innovation, and the path to socialism in Vietnam today; identifying and fighting against and refuting erroneous and hostile views against the Party, the State and the regime.

Many articles also analyze the theory of the country's renewal policy; protect, apply and develop the Party's theory on Party building and rectification, fight against corruption and negativity; practice and experience in organizing the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints; propose solutions and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints...
