The five-piece Colombian boy band Salsangroove will be representing Latin American music . They are daring warriors who are reinventing salsa music.

Thanks to their innovative thinking in combining classic salsa and avant-garde electronic music, between the sounds of traditional instruments and the popular rhythms of jazz and jungle, Salsangroove was nominated for a Latin Grammy award in 2017.

Following that success, these American artists undertook a well-received tour of Europe in 2017-2018 and performed at one of the world's most famous music festivals, the Glastonbury Festival in 2019.

Each member has a strength and plays a different instrument such as: Pablo Watusi is the trombone player, Juan Felipe is the saxophone player, Juan Andpes is the electric guitarist, Lappy Apapat is the drummer and Juan Caplos is the percussionist.

On August 22, in a 1 hour and 30 minute show, Salsangroove will bring to the audience in Hanoi the most special songs, including: Negros (Black) , Para el monte (Going to the mountain) , Están acá (They are right here) ...

Salsangroove will have a performance in collaboration with Vietnamese bamboo flute artist Pham Anh Linh - one of the outstanding young artists of the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Opera Theater.

Participating in this special program celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Colombia and Vietnam, Pham Anh Linh shared that she is extremely excited to bring to the audience an explosive fusion between Vietnamese traditional musical instruments and modern American orchestras.

The Embassy of Colombia in Vietnam would like to invite art lovers to enjoy a night of music with Colombian and Latin American influences.
