34 outstanding works won the photo and video contest 'Happy Vietnam 2024'

On the evening of December 11, the Ministry of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, will organize the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition and announce the awards for the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".

After nearly 7 months of launching, the Contest has attracted a total of 6,863 authors with 10,327 photo and video works, including 9,657 photo works and 670 video works. Among the participating authors, there are 581 international authors, 265 Vietnamese authors abroad with nearly 1,000 works and more than 50% of the authors have participated in the Contest in 2023. After many days of serious and fair work, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 videos and 150 best photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded.

Each work is an interesting story, an impressive moment or a meaningful message about love for the homeland, country, with pride, love and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life across the S-shaped strip of land of Vietnam. The total value of the awards for both photo and video categories is up to nearly 400 million VND, including: 2 Gold Medals; 4 Silver Medals; 6 Bronze Medals and 20 Consolation Prizes. Prize value: Gold Medal 70 million VND; Silver Medal 20 million VND; Bronze Medal 10 million VND; Consolation Prize 5 million VND and other secondary prizes. After the Award Ceremony, the selected works will continue to be exhibited domestically and internationally, serving the communication and promotion of Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights in 2025.

The award ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 11, 2024 at the Hanoi Opera House and will be broadcast live on VTV4, Vietnam Television's foreign television channel, livestreamed on VTV Digital and on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform.
