After 15 days of exciting competition in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province, the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (phase 2) officially ended on the evening of October 15.
Taking place from September 29, the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (phase 2) attracted the participation of nearly 1,500 artists, singers, actors, and musicians from 24 art units across the country.

In terms of expertise, People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Art Council, said that the Festival had programs imbued with local identity through very simple and rustic performances, even preserving the original form, preserving the ancient songs and traditional melodies that have existed since ancient times...
Some programs are invested in elaborately, from the script throughout, closely following the program's theme, with a tight layout with a variety of genres... Creative elements know how to combine interactions from decorative arts, props, images, technology, exploiting and developing the combination between traditional and modern art, between forms of cultural and religious activities and contemporary stage performances, creating conditions for artists to have the opportunity to sublimate and shine in each role.
However, despite great efforts to create products with different variations, it is still difficult to avoid duplication when using techniques in the art of installation, decoration or exploiting the same music technology platforms for many art units with very different identities...
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded Gold Medals to 3 units: People's Public Security Music and Dance Theater with the work "Order from the Heart", Ha Giang Provincial Art Troupe with "Ha Giang - The Call of the Rocks", Binh Duong Provincial Cultural Center with the work "The Call of the Source". These are works that are highly appreciated for both content and artistic quality, demonstrating the creativity and dedication of the artists.

Six other units won Silver Medals, including Trung Vuong Theater in Da Nang with the work “The River Tells a Story”; Sao Bien Folk Music and Dance Theater in Phu Yen province with “The Wind of the East”; Ninh Thuan Province’s Ethnic Music and Dance Troupe with “Aspiration to Shine”; Quang Tri Province’s Traditional Art Troupe with “Going Up with the Sun and Wind”; Hai Dang Music and Dance Troupe in Khanh Hoa province with “Aspiration to the Land of Agarwood”; Soc Trang Province’s Khmer Art Troupe with “Soc Trang Echoes of the Festival”.
The Organizing Committee also awarded 66 Silver medals and 32 Gold medals to the performances; 5 excellent awards for creative components, including: Excellent Creativity; Excellent Art Direction; Excellent Director; Excellent Choreographer; Excellent Musician and Excellent Stage Designer.
