Tran Trung Kien (11A1 student at Le Hong Phong High School, Phu Yen) is the first contestant to enter the final round of the Road to Olympia 2024 after winning the first quarter competition with 235 points.
The laurel wreath in the first quarter competition was not only the first laurel wreath that Trung Kien had received because before that, the male student entered the monthly and quarterly competitions only as the contestant with the highest second place score. Trung Kien was the contestant who brought the first television final match in history to Phu Yen province.
Kien said that to prepare for the final match of the year of the Road to Olympia, he will make a clear and systematic plan. First, he will allocate time to review the knowledge he has learned to master it. After that, he will continue to update new knowledge.
“In the final match of the year, the knowledge and questions were at a very difficult level, requiring very careful preparation. I reminded myself to review seriously and systematically to prepare for the final match.
I don’t think that winning the first ticket with a longer preparation time to the final competition day of the year is an advantage and can be subjective. I don’t consider winning the televised match as the final destination to be satisfied and subjective, but will continue to strive and practice more to aim for a truly explosive and memorable final match of the year,” Kien expressed his determination to once again bring glory to Phu Yen province.
In addition to the goal of winning the Olympia finals, Kien said he still does not forget to complete his schoolwork well.
Le Hong Phong High School where Trung Kien is studying was established in 1977.

The second person to participate in the final round of the 24th Road to Olympia is Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh (Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai) with a 250-point victory in the second quarter competition.
Nhat Minh is also the contestant who brought the first final match to Gia Lai province.
The male student is considered a candidate with "steel" courage and a broad, solid knowledge base.
These were also demonstrated by Nhat Minh again in the second quarter competition by giving correct answers in many areas and leading in all competitions.

The third face to appear in the final round of the year is Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien - Hue) after scoring 185 points and winning the third quarter competition.
With the 2024 final broadcast that Phu Duc won, this is the 7th Road to Olympia final broadcast of the school on the banks of the Huong River. This is also the school with the most contestants in the first final so far, including 2 final champions of the year (Ho Ngoc Han in 2009 and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong in 2016).
Up to now, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted (Thua Thien - Hue) also holds the national "record" for the number of times the final match of the Road to Olympia was televised.
If contestant Vo Quang Phu Duc wins the final round of the 24th Road to Olympia, Thua Thien – Hue will equalize the gap with Quang Ninh to become the province with the most Olympia champions (3 champions). Along with that, of course, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted – Hue is also the school with the most Olympia champions in the country.
Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted is one of the oldest high schools in Vietnam.
In March 1990, the school was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic. In 2021, the school continued to be ranked as a Special National Relic.
