23 authors and groups of authors won the 7th Quang Tri Provincial Press Award

This afternoon, June 20, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held a meeting to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21 (1925 - 2024) and summarize and award the 7th Quang Tri Provincial Press Award in 2023. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units, along with a large number of cadres, reporters, editors of press agencies in the area and members of the Provincial Journalists Association attended the meeting.

Local press agencies are developing strongly.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung expressed his joy at the innovation of press agencies and journalists. According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, press agencies in the area have been growing stronger and stronger in all aspects. Many press agencies have accessed modern journalism technology; gradually transformed digitally; and brought press information to different infrastructures and media platforms.

Along with the innovation and development of the press, the team of journalists in the area is always the pioneer force, providing timely, honest and comprehensive information on the political , economic and social situation of the province. Many journalists are not afraid of difficulties and hardships, sticking to the base to have articles rich in current events and social significance. Information posted on the media is increasingly diverse, reflecting many aspects, attracting a large number of visitors.

Sending congratulations on the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung praised the efforts and achievements of the press team. Overcoming all difficulties and challenges, the Quang Tri press team has excellently completed its tasks, helping the press to develop more and more, actively contributing to the cause of innovation and integration of the homeland and country.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung, Quang Tri is currently making efforts to transform itself for development and integration. Many dynamic projects have been and are being implemented in the area. Along with that, Quang Tri province is gradually building its image, creating new momentum for development, maximizing its potential and advantages...

In that context, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the team of journalists in the area will continue to uphold the pioneering spirit; closely follow, strongly propagate, promptly, honestly and comprehensively inform the political, economic and social life of the province.

Another very important task is to pay more attention to policy propaganda work, contributing to bringing policies into life, turning policies into strength, into a driving force to promote the rapid and sustainable development of the province.

Many works participating in the Provincial Press Awards have outstanding quality.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper Truong Duc Minh Tu reported on the summary and evaluation of the works participating in the 7th Provincial Press Award in 2023. In this organization, the award attracted 103 works from members and collaborators, an increase of 14.4% compared to the previous year. The preliminary council selected 40 works for the final round. Through appraisal, evaluation, and scoring, the final council selected 23 outstanding works of authors and groups of authors to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for recognition and awarding.

The new point of this season is that many press works are invested elaborately, methodically, and have outstanding quality. The entries have rich topics, comprehensively reflecting the socio-economic life of the province, promoting the strengths of all types of press. Many works have innovated in choosing content and form of expression, bringing positive effects to public opinion. Notably, among the works participating in the Provincial Press Award this time, there is a work from Quang Tri Newspaper that won the C prize - the 18th National Press Award, 2023.

Within the framework of the program, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung presented certificates of merit and flowers to the group of authors: Truong Duc Minh Tu - Phan Hoai Huong - Lam Thi Hoai Thanh - Tran Tu Linh for their outstanding achievements, winning the C prize of the 18th National Press Award, 2023 with the work "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship and Cooperation: Inheriting Tradition, Fostering the Future". The provincial leaders and the Provincial Journalists Association awarded 8 A prizes, 8 B prizes and 7 C prizes to the authors and groups of authors.
