Information from Trung Vuong Hospital on the morning of May 28 said that patient NHH, 16 years old, was admitted with 30% second-third degree burns on the face, neck, limbs, and respiratory burns. There was a head wound that had been stitched.
The second patient is NXV, 25 years old, diagnosed with respiratory burns, 50% third-fourth degree burns on the trunk and limbs. The patient had a wound on his lower leg that was stitched.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to put out the fire and rescue people from the fire.
Both patients have been transferred to Cho Ray Hospital.
Previously, at around 0:40 a.m. on May 28, a fire broke out in a 3-story house on Le Sao Street, Phu Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City. Upon receiving the report, the authorities mobilized 7 vehicles and 45 officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
The fire was brought under control and completely extinguished by the authorities at 3:20 a.m. the same day. According to people at the scene, when they discovered the fire and ran to help, the fire had already engulfed the entrance to the house, making it difficult for people inside to escape. One person inside the house climbed over the fence and was rescued by the authorities, while another person was rescued from the second floor of the house.
The fire killed Mr. VVH (22 years old), injured 2 others, and is currently being treated in the above condition. The cause of this house fire is being investigated by the police.
