161 hospitals in Hanoi join the telemedicine network

The Hanoi Department of Health said that four upper-level hospitals participating in the remote medical examination and treatment network include Xanh Pon Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, and Hanoi Oncology Hospital.

157 lower-level hospitals include 13 city-level hospitals, 15 district-level hospitals, 7 non-public hospitals, 19 district, town and city medical centers; 103 hospitals and medical centers outside Hanoi .

This network has provided online training to update knowledge on guidelines, diagnosis and treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease, Adenovirus, dengue fever... to support lower-level hospitals to proactively detect and treat effectively, avoiding the need to refer patients.

The Department of Health has also added two more leading specialties in clinical pharmacy and pathology, bringing the total number of leading specialties in the health sector to 30.

Grade 1 hospitals and leading specialized hospitals are responsible for providing technical expertise, training, transferring new techniques and new treatment methods to lower-level hospitals, and are ready to support human resources when needed...

The Hanoi Department of Health encourages leading specialists to develop new, specialized, and cutting-edge techniques; strengthens direction and guidance for lower-level hospitals to implement new techniques at the hospital. Currently, ECMO techniques have been performed at Thanh Nhan Hospital and Duc Giang General Hospital.

Since the beginning of the year, public hospitals under the Hanoi health sector have received and examined and treated more than 6.6 million people; many cutting-edge and high-tech techniques have been implemented by hospitals.

Among those who come to medical facilities for examination and treatment, nearly 4.1 million people use health insurance.
