Mulberry trees grown on rice fields bring high income in Tan Long commune (Yen Son).
There are 12 types of perennial trees including: orange trees, lemon trees, grapefruit trees, Buddha's hand trees, guava trees, dragon fruit trees, custard apple trees, apple trees, tea trees, sugarcane trees, mulberry trees and perennial medicinal herbs that will be converted to crop structure on rice-growing land in Tuyen Quang province.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with agencies and the People's Committees of districts and cities to guide, inspect and supervise the conversion of crop structure on rice-growing land to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Law on Cultivation and current legal regulations. Annually review and advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to consider amending and supplementing the List of perennial crops that are allowed to convert crop structure on rice-growing land in accordance with the actual situation.
The People's Committees of districts and cities shall organize the implementation and direct the People's Committees at the commune level to base on the annual Plan for converting the structure of crops and livestock on rice-growing land in the province and the List of perennial crops eligible for conversion of crop structure on rice-growing land to direct the development and approval of the Plan for converting the structure of crops and livestock on rice-growing land in the management area and organize the implementation according to regulations; regularly inspect and supervise the conversion of crop and livestock structures on rice-growing land in the management area, ensuring the effective promotion of rice-growing land and compliance with current legal regulations.
