100 volunteers ready to support Hanoi International Film Festival 2024

(Fatherland) - On November 2, at the National Cinema Center (Hanoi), the Launching Ceremony of volunteers to support the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VII) took place.

The launching ceremony of volunteers supporting HANIFF VII is the opening event of the series of activities of this year's Hanoi International Film Festival. The launching ceremony has the participation of 100 young people, who will accompany and stand side by side in the main events and activities of HANIFF VII as volunteers.

The selected volunteers are students recruited from prestigious universities such as: Hanoi National University, Diplomatic Academy, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University..., fluent in English, French, Chinese, German..., proficient in information technology.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Do Quoc Viet shared that the Hanoi International Film Festival is held every two years, going through 6 seasons with impressive achievements and successes with international friends at home and abroad. This year's Hanoi International Film Festival will welcome hundreds of international and domestic delegates, including filmmakers, film activists and artists, to exchange, share experiences, and participate in dozens of large and small events during the 5 official days of the Film Festival. Therefore, in order to bring the best image of the Film Festival to international friends and the film-loving public in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee has selected 100 volunteers to support guests within the framework of the Film Festival.

Representing 100 volunteers who will accompany and support at HANIFF VII, Head of the Information and Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Youth Link Club, Deputy Coordinator of HANIFF VII Volunteers Le Quang Minh expressed: "HANIFF VII takes place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the city for peace, the city of conscience and human dignity; the 80th anniversary of the founding of the heroic Vietnam People's Army. As a volunteer coordinator in the Film Festival, I am very honored that the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Link Club, the Department of Cinema and the Film Festival Organizing Committee have trusted and chosen me and assigned me the task. We are fully aware of our responsibility for a large-scale, world-class film event of Vietnam".

The launching ceremony was attended by 100 young people.

"With the spirit of vanguard, responsibility of youth and the spirit of youth union members, we volunteers will promote the spirit of solidarity, initiative, creativity; strictly implement the regulations of the Film Festival Organizing Committee; be serious about style and time during the Film Festival; ensure security and safety issues for each volunteer and international guests. At the same time, we also hope that each volunteer will be an ambassador contributing to spreading the cultural values, the beauty of the country, people, and nation of Vietnam to international friends..." - said Mr. Le Quang Minh.

This year's Hanoi International Film Festival will be held in Hanoi from November 7 to 11, 2024, aiming to honor outstanding film works and artists, encourage community sharing to establish development companionship between filmmakers around the world.
