Today (October 4) marks the 10th anniversary of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s passing. Over the past 10 years, articles expressing the love and condolences of the Vietnamese people and international friends for the General have continued.

Articles recording the memories and deep feelings of veterans, researchers, journalists, writers, artists... and the warm feelings of friends from all over the world for General Vo Nguyen Giap have been published in Vietnam News Agency and Quang Binh newspaper for 10 years since the General passed away. They have just been selected and included in the book "Feelings of the people in the country and international friends for General Vo Nguyen Giap" .
The book was collected, selected, edited, published and distributed by the People's Army Publishing House in collaboration with the Vietnam News Agency, Quang Binh Newspaper and the Military Library. The book launch ceremony took place on October 3 at the Military Library (Hanoi).
The book of more than 400 pages is divided into two parts. Part one is the sentiments of the people in the country towards General Vo Nguyen Giap; part two is the sentiments of international friends towards General Vo Nguyen Giap.
Like the articles published in newspapers, each article in the book is illustrated with pictures associated with the story about General Vo Nguyen Giap, an outstanding general, told in a simple, sincere voice.
Many emotional stories of the people for the General are very touching in the book, especially the feelings of the soldiers for the respected general.

The story of veteran Mai Van Gia who, after hearing the news of General Vo Nguyen Giap's death , almost never left the radio to wait for news about the General, truly moved readers about the special affection that soldiers had for the legendary general.
Mr. Mai Van Gia is certainly not an isolated case but a common story of many veterans with the General.
Readers will also be moved and proud when they come across an article in the book that in Russia, everyone calls General Vo Nguyen Giap the Grand Marshal.
Ms. Vo Hanh Phuc - daughter of General Vo Nguyen Giap - on behalf of the family thanked the People's Army Publishing House and related agencies for publishing this meaningful book on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the General's passing.
