Monthly ticket prices have also been adjusted: Priority groups including pupils, students, and industrial park workers traveling one route are 70,000 VND (currently 55,000 VND); inter-route tickets are 140,000 VND (currently 100,000 VND).

The group of non-priority subjects traveling on one route is 140,000 VND (currently 100,000 VND), and inter-route is 280,000 VND (currently 200,000 VND).

People with meritorious services, the elderly (60 years old and over), children under 6 years old, and poor households continue to be exempt from bus fares.

Hanoi Department of Transport said that since 2014, the city has not adjusted the fares so the fares are low compared to the average income of the people. The cost of bus fares and travel expenses accounts for about 10% of total income, while input factors for bus operations such as fuel prices, salaries, etc. have all increased compared to before. The cost of public transport has increased by about 50% compared to 2014.
