The Ministry of Health has sent an official dispatch to hospital directors, provincial and municipal health departments, and heads of health management agencies of ministries and branches to strengthen management of medical examination and treatment activities.

On June 3, in response to the discovery by authorities in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, of several clinics in the area buying and selling medical examination and treatment documents and records, the Ministry of Health sent an official dispatch to hospital directors, provincial and municipal Departments of Health, and heads of health management agencies of ministries and branches to strengthen management of medical examination and treatment activities.
The Ministry of Health requests the leaders of the above units to urgently direct and rectify medical examination and treatment facilities under their management to properly implement professional regulations, medical examination and treatment procedures; regulations of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and regulations on granting practice certificates to practitioners and granting operating licenses to medical examination and treatment facilities; relevant legal regulations on medical examination and treatment, especially the issuance of documents and records such as: sick leave certificates for social insurance, health examination certificates, medical records. At the same time, strengthen the inspection and examination of medical examination and treatment at facilities under their management to promptly detect violations; strictly handle or report to competent authorities to handle organizations and individuals who violate regulations.
Recently, Bien Hoa City Police, Dong Nai Province simultaneously searched a number of clinics in the area, confiscating many documents to investigate and clarify signs of violations in buying and selling documents and records related to medical examination and treatment such as: sick leave certificates for social insurance, health examination certificates, medical records...
