Yen Bai: The poverty rate in ethnic minority areas decreased by 7.66%.
To date, the rate of communes with asphalt or concrete roads to the commune center has reached 100%, achieving the program's target. The number of communes leaving extremely difficult areas is 13/28 communes, reaching 46.42% compared to the target assigned by the Central Government in Decision No. 652/QD-TTG dated May 28, 2022 is 28 communes, reaching 44.07% compared to the Program target of 50% of 59 communes.
The number of villages leaving the extremely difficult area is 18/27 villages (belonging to communes in areas I, II), reaching 66.67% compared to the target assigned by the Central Government in Decision No. 652/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, which is 27 villages, reaching 32.73% compared to the target of the 50% Program of 55 villages.
The rate of households using the national grid and other suitable power sources reached 97.6/99% of the Program's target; the rate of ethnic minorities using clean water reached 93.5/90% of the Program's target (exceeding 3.5%). The rate of ethnic minorities watching television and the rate of ethnic minorities listening to the radio reached 99.4%/100% of the Program's target.
Continuing to promote the achieved results, Yen Bai strives to reduce the poverty rate in ethnic minority and mountainous areas by over 5% by 2023, of which Mu Cang Chai district will reduce by over 7.5% and Tram Tau district will reduce by over 6.5%.
In particular, nearly 830 poor ethnic minority households living in ethnic minority and mountainous areas without houses or with dilapidated or damaged houses will be supported; striving to complete 4 extremely difficult communes (According to Decision No. 861/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister) to meet new rural standards.
