In Yen Bai province, there are currently 208 enterprises that still owe insurance premiums of VND35.17 billion and 15 cooperatives that owe social insurance premiums of VND1.2 billion to employees.
Accordingly, Yen Bai province currently has over 3,000 enterprises and over 700 cooperatives. By September 2023, the total number of employees working in enterprises is 48,320 people.
Most of the enterprises are small and medium-sized. The number of enterprises employing 500 or more workers is not much, mainly concentrated in foreign-invested garment companies (Unico Global YB Co., Ltd., Daeseung Global Co., Ltd., Vina KNF International Co., Ltd.).
By September 2023, the province had a total of 1,310 enterprises participating in social insurance (SI) for 24,495 employees and 148 cooperatives participating in social insurance for 708 employees. Currently, 208 enterprises still owe insurance premiums of VND 35.17 billion and 15 cooperatives owe social insurance premiums of VND 1.2 billion to employees.
Also in the first 9 months of 2023, the number of people receiving unemployment benefits was 2,862 people with a total unemployment benefit of 44.69 billion VND. The whole province supported vocational training for 36 people, with a total amount of 203.25 million VND; the number of people receiving job counseling and referrals was 2,967 people.
