Yen Bai creates forum for children's voices

On November 9 in Yen Bai , the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Children's Council organized a mock session of the Yen Bai Provincial Children's Council (PPC) in 2024. The event was attended by 30 children who are members of the Yen Bai Provincial Children's Council and 50 outstanding children in the whole province.

During the mock session, the child delegates, in their role as People's Council delegates, focused on reviewing and discussing important reports and submissions, focusing on two prominent topics: "Promoting children's right to participate in children's issues" and "Preventing the harmful effects of tobacco in the school environment in Yen Bai province". These are urgent issues, attracting public attention, and at the same time reflecting the desire of children in the province for a safe and healthy learning environment.

With the guidance of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the departments and branches (assumed), the children asked questions, gave their opinions in the hall and received explanations and acceptance from the leaders. The meeting voted to pass two important resolutions: Resolution on promoting children's participation in children's issues in the province for the period 2024 - 2030 and Resolution on preventing the harmful effects of tobacco in the school environment in Yen Bai province in the same period.

This activity aims to create opportunities for Yen Bai children to interact and learn about the political system, the state apparatus, especially important agencies of the province such as the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee. Thereby encouraging their civic awareness and active participation in social issues from an early age.

On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Council, Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Binh, together with representatives of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union presented flowers and souvenirs to 30 members of the Provincial Children's Council, recognizing the efforts and proactive spirit of the children in this special session.
