The issuance of a regulation by Di An City (Binh Duong) prohibiting one-way traffic on roads leading to the city center has received mixed opinions from residents.

Starting from May 25, Di An City issued a regulation prohibiting cars from traveling in one direction on Nguyen An Ninh, Ly Thuong Kiet, Co Bac, and Co Giang streets.

Specifically, on Nguyen An Ninh route, all cars are prohibited from DT. 743A road (Cay Diep intersection) to Ly Thuong Kiet (Di An theater).

On Ly Thuong Kiet route, cars are banned from the intersection with Nguyen An Ninh to Le Quy Don.

On Co Giang Street, cars are prohibited from the intersection with Nguyen Thai Hoc to Nguyen An Ninh.

On Co Bac Street, cars are prohibited from Nguyen An Ninh to Nguyen Thai Hoc.

From May 25, Di An City prohibits cars from entering the central area.

The proposed replacement route includes: To go from Tan Dong Hiep and Tan Binh wards... to the administrative center of Di An city, vehicles go from DT743A - Nguyen Trai - Road No. 21 - Road No. 6 (Song Than 1 Industrial Park) - Road No. 9 (Di An administrative center).

Route 2 can be chosen from DT 743A - Nguyen Trai - Ly Thuong Kiet - Nguyen An Ninh - Di An administrative center.

Route 3 is DT 743A - Hai Ba Trung - Vo Thi Sau - GS1 - Nguyen An Ninh - Di An City administrative center.

Route 4 is DT743A - Hai Ba Trung - Tran Hung Dao - Tran Quoc Toan - Nguyen An Ninh - Di An administrative center.

After one day of implementation, some residents did not agree with the above regulation. Mr. MVH (a resident who often travels through these roads) said that the issuance of this regulation was unreasonable because the traffic density through this area was not as serious as in some other areas in Binh Duong province.

Mr. H. believes that Binh Duong is not yet at the level of serious traffic congestion that requires a regulation banning cars from entering the central area.

In addition, alternative routes are also not feasible because they have to go around many residential areas and through narrow roads where traffic jams often occur.

Di An Primary School is located on a road where cars are prohibited from traveling.

Meanwhile, Ms. NNL (whose child studies at an elementary school located on the prohibited road) said that this area has a school, market, train station... so during rush hour, the traffic density is high, there are often traffic jams, especially when cars turn around or when trains pass by, there will be a long traffic jam, so the authorities prohibit cars from entering.

According to the reporter's investigation, the issuance of the above regulation was advised by the Urban Management Department to the Traffic Safety Committee of Di An City, and received opinions from the front and the people.
