With a 64-4 vote, the Knesset agreed to keep the old Cabinet and add five ministers from the opposition party but not in charge of any ministries. Among them, Mr. Benny Gantz will join the War Cabinet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Under the agreement that Benjamin Netanyahu signed with Benny Gantz, the government will suspend its judicial reform plan during the war.

In a related move, the leader of the largest opposition party, Yesh Atid, Mr. Yair Lapid a few minutes earlier accused the Israeli leader of "unforgivable failure" in preventing Hamas' attack on October 7 and announced that he would not join Prime Minister Netanyahu's emergency government.
