The program "Helping you go to school" of the Vietnamese border guards for orphans and disadvantaged children of Laos in the program "Exchange of political work and young officers of the two armies of Vietnam and Laos - Red and one belief" recently took place in Moc Chau district, Son La province, leaving many emotions for the viewers.
This is a special content within the framework of the 2nd "Vietnam - Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange", jointly organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Lao Ministry of National Defense.
Happy to be sponsored by Vietnamese border guards
Nang Tun Pheng Kham Si, an 11th grade student at Xi Bun Hau High School, Sop Bau District, Hua Phan Province, Laos, attended the program with a smile full of happiness when meeting the Vietnamese border guards. Nang Tun Pheng Kham Si comes from a particularly difficult family situation and is one of the Laotian students who was sponsored by the Vietnamese border guards since she was in elementary school. Now she is a charming high school girl.
With choked emotions, little Nang Tun pheng kham si always said thank you to the Vietnamese border guards. She was happy when the Vietnamese border guards encouraged her, helped her go to school like her friends, and lit up her hope for a bright future.
The two Ministers of Defense of Vietnam and Laos awarded 100 "Helping you go to school" scholarships to students of the two countries at the program.
Also sponsored by the border guards is Luong Van San, a 9th grade student from Muong Xum village, Muong Et district, Hua Phan province, Laos - a border area of Muong Lan Border Guard Station. Luong Van San was born into a family with very difficult circumstances but always had a studious spirit. Since 2017, Muong Lan Border Guard Station has sponsored Luong Van San, with a support level of 500,000 VND/month. Since then, not in vain for the care and sponsorship of the Vietnamese border guards, the boy Luong Van San has always had increasingly improved academic performance.
Remember, in the 2012-2022 school year, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, officers and soldiers of Muong Lan Border Guard Station could not directly visit Luong Van San's house to encourage and visit. However, Muong Lan Border Guard Station still organized to encourage and give gifts to San and his family including: Cash, clothes, shoes and some household items at milestone 187, Muong Lan commune, Sop Cop district, Son La province. That is a mark of the warmth of the Vietnamese border guards forever engraved in the heart of the boy San, helping him have more motivation to overcome difficulties and excel in his studies.
