Báo Dân tríBáo Dân trí13/09/2024

Recently, the fanpage of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has publicly disclosed 12,028 pages of information listing organizations and individuals supporting people in the North affected by floods.

The statement list details the date of money transfer, the amount transferred as well as the transaction content of people, organizations and businesses.

The content of the money transfer transactions shows that people from many regions, ages, and professions have responded to the spirit of mutual love and support called for by the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Each person, depending on their circumstances, donated a certain amount of money to help people in the Northern regions affected by storm No. 3 overcome the consequences.

Among the more than 12,000 pages of statement information, in addition to transactions ranging from several hundred thousand to hundreds of millions of VND, there are many money transfer transactions of 10,000 VND, 13,000 VND, 15,000 VND, 20,000-30,000 VND or even very small amounts. Along with that are messages, inquiries and sharing with fellow countrymen.

An account sent a donation of 10,000 VND with the transfer content: "I am a student without money, but because I love my country and my people, I still support all the people in the North to overcome the natural disaster. I hope everyone is safe."

TV T account donated 15,000 VND with the message: "I don't have much money in my account, I'm also unemployed, so this is the remaining balance in my account. Even though it's little, I still want to help everyone."

Some social media users shared photos of these transactions and said that the donated money, regardless of its denomination, is valuable and shows the kindness and benevolence of the Vietnamese people.

Talking to Dan Tri , Ms. Nguyen Huong (in Cau Giay, Hanoi) said that she was very touched when she received a message from her nephew, a second-grade student in her hometown. The boy took a photo of the transaction to donate 13,000 VND to people affected by the storm and flood through the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

When Ms. Huong questioned the amount of 13,000 VND, her nephew said he wanted to donate a loaf of bread to people in the flood-affected area.

"This is the money I saved. Because I'm still young and don't have a bank account, I asked my cousin to transfer the money," said Ms. Huong.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Minh (An Khanh, Hoai Duc, Hanoi) said that during the days of storms, she often turned on the TV to follow the news about the storm and flood damage. The images of houses submerged in water, families and children having to climb onto the roofs to wait for food supplies made her extremely sympathetic.

Her 4th grade son, when seeing those pictures, partly understood the damage caused by the storm and the hardships of the people in the mountains, especially the children.

The boy decided to take his savings of 18,000 VND and ask his mother to transfer it to the Fatherland Front with the message: "I am a 5th grade student and would like to support students in the highlands."

"My family has deducted 2 days of my husband and I's salary to support people in flood-hit areas. When I heard my son ask me to transfer 18,000 VND, I was quite surprised. The amount is not too large, but it shows that my son knows how to care and share with everyone," said Ms. Minh.
