The national concert program Dieu con mai took place on the afternoon of September 2 at the Hanoi Opera House, conducted by conductor Dong Quang Vinh, with the participation of artists such as: Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Do To Hoa, Dao Mac, Tung Duong, Meritorious Artist Le Giang, Oplus group with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, Kosmos Opera Choir.
The highlight of this year's national concert What remains is the appearance of a young face - saxophone artist An Tran, 19 years old. She is the daughter of artist Tran Manh Tuan.
In the program, An Tran performed the song "Mother loves her child" by musician Nguyen Van Ty, expressing maternal love blended with the desire for peace and love for the country.
The performance was arranged for saxophone by musician Tran Manh Tuan. Present at the Opera House, saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan was also moved to tears by his daughter's performance.
What Remains 2023 recreates the imprint of the years of war for independence. Interspersed with it is the love of couples, giving wings to love for the country, with a spirit of unity to overcome difficult times.
Singers Tung Duong and Dao Mac brought the audience many proud emotions with Lullaby of the Country and Melody of the Fatherland . The sentiment between the army and the people during the resistance war was conveyed through the song Shadow of the Kơ Nia tree performed by Do To Hoa.
Pham Thu Ha performed two immortal works by musician Van Cao, Dan chim Viet and Cung dan dat nuoc. Meritorious Artist Le Giang's monochord in the performance, combined with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra and conductor Dong Quang Vinh, brought the audience back to traditional musical values.
This year's stage of Dieu con mai not only recreates history but also conveys the enthusiasm of youth through the songs Nhung trai tim Viet Nam, My kool Viet Nam - performed by the Oplus group. The program ends with the harmony of the artists with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra and the Kosmos Opera Choir.
The national concert program Dieu con mai (What remains forever) is directed by the Ministry of Information and Communications, produced by Vietnamnet newspaper, and broadcast live annually on VTV on National Day, September 2, and has been maintained for the past 13 years.
