On the morning of March 1, at the Hoa Lu International Border Gate area, Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province, Steering Committee 515 of Binh Phuoc province held a ceremony to assign the task to Team K72 (Binh Phuoc Provincial Military Command) to carry out the task of searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs who died during the war in Cambodia, phase 2, phase 23 (dry season 2023-2024).

Phase 2, phase 23 (dry season 2023 - 2024), Team K72 will carry out tasks in Kratie and Kampong Thom provinces, Kingdom of Cambodia. Through the situation assessment, in Kratie province there are 15 information points, corresponding to 15 areas with about 260 martyrs' graves. In Kampong Thom province there are 7 information points, corresponding to 7 areas with about 61 martyrs' graves.
Previously, in the first phase, phase 23, Team K72 was united, highly determined, overcame difficulties, organized the search and collection of 43 martyrs' remains (identities not yet determined), successfully completed the mission, ensured absolute safety of people and vehicles; maintained good internal solidarity, solidarity with the government, army and people of neighboring countries.

Also in the first phase, Team K72 received 29 pieces of information and conducted surveys in 50 villages. The conclusion was that Kratie province still has about 260 martyrs in 15 areas, and Kampong Thom province still has 61 martyrs in 7 areas.
Encouraging Team K72 to set out on their mission, Colonel Pham Nhu Quan, Political Commissar of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the 515 Steering Committee of Binh Phuoc Province, praised the spirit, responsibility and efforts to overcome difficulties of the officers and soldiers in the process of carrying out their missions in the past time.
At the same time, he emphasized that the work of searching, gathering and repatriating the remains of martyrs is both a task, a responsibility and a sacred duty. Therefore, in the process of carrying out the task, Team K72 must maintain solidarity and friendship; closely coordinate with the government, armed forces and people of neighboring countries to carry out mass mobilization work well, collect more information on martyrs' graves, and soon bring the martyrs back to rest in the bosom of Mother Vietnam.
It is known that after more than 20 years of carrying out its mission, Team K72 has collected 2,853 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia and brought them back to Vietnam.
