The tra fish industry has set a target of producing 1.7 million tons of commercial tra fish and exporting 2 billion USD.

Statistics from Vietnam Customs show that Vietnam's pangasius export turnover in 2023 is estimated to reach more than 1.85 billion USD, down 27% compared to 2022. However, the demand for pangasius in the markets in the coming time is still very large, especially deeply processed pangasius products.

The US is among the top markets consuming the most Vietnamese pangasius. In the last months of the year, demand for pangasius in this market will increase, encouraging US businesses to increase pangasius imports to serve consumers during the New Year.

In the European market (EU), demand for Vietnamese pangasius has increased again. Vietnam also expects the EU market to be a bright spot for exports next year as it is considered to have a more stable economy than other key markets.

Regarding the prospects of the pangasius industry, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien commented that although there are many difficulties and challenges in 2024, the pangasius industry still sets a target of commercial pangasius output reaching 1.7 million tons and export turnover reaching 2 billion USD.

In 2023, Vietnam's rubber exports will face many difficulties due to a sharp decline in rubber export prices, so the value of rubber exports will be much lower than the same period last year. In 2023, rubber exports to most markets will still decrease compared to the same period in 2022, especially large markets such as: India, the United States, Germany, Taiwan (China), Turkey, Sri Lanka, Russia, Indonesia, Spain... However, exports to some markets still grew well in volume such as: China, Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, the Czech Republic...

Of which, China is still the largest market for Vietnam's rubber consumption, accounting for 79.22% in volume and 78.08% in value of the country's total rubber exports in the first 11 months of 2023. India ranked second, accounting for 5.34% in volume and 5.49% in value of the country's total rubber exports in the first 11 months of 2023.
