At the time of survey at 1:00 p.m. on January 15, 2025, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was listed as follows:
Gold trading enterprises such as Bao Tin Minh Chau, PNJ, SJC company, DOJI all kept the price of SJC gold unchanged. at 84.4-86.4 million VND/tael (buy - sell) compared to the same time yesterday morning.
Mi Hong Company alone increased the buying price by VND200,000 per tael but kept the selling price unchanged, currently listed at VND84.7 - 85.7 million per tael.
Meanwhile, the price of plain round gold rings has had mixed adjustments among gold trading enterprises. Specifically, Bao Tin Minh Chau increased by 50,000 VND per tael in both buying and selling directions, raising the price of gold rings to 84.85 - 86.35 million VND/tael.
DOJI Group reduced the gold price by 100,000 VND per tael in both directions, down to 84.4 - 85.2 million VND/tael.
Mi Hong adjusted the price of plain round gold rings by 400,000 VND per tael for buying and 100,000 VND per tael for selling, currently listed at 84.8 - 85.8 million VND/tael.

In the world gold market, the spot gold price closed yesterday's session in the US up 14.3 USD to 2,677.5 USD/ounce. In the Asian session this morning, the gold price reversed and decreased 6 USD to 2,671.5 USD/ounce.
Gold futures for February 2025 delivery on the Comex New York floor increased slightly by 3.7 USD, equivalent to 0.14%, to 2,682.3 USD/ounce.
Gold edged higher after a lower-than-expected US inflation report. Specifically, the producer price index for December fell less than expected, rising 0.2% month-on-month, versus expectations for a 0.4% increase. The core PPI (excluding food and energy) also fell less than expected, remaining unchanged from the previous month, versus expectations for a 0.3% increase.
Besides, the decline in the USD index after hitting a more than two-year high also supported the recovery of the gold market.
According to expert Chris Mancini from Gabelli Gold Fund, gold prices in 2025 will be greatly influenced by the inflation and labor market situation in the United States. If inflation continues to be high and the labor market weakens, the Fed will likely cut interest rates, thereby boosting gold prices. Investors need to closely monitor these macroeconomic factors to make timely decisions.
Meanwhile, Tim Waterer, chief market analyst at financial services firm KCM Trade, said the rise in gold prices could be due to investors' concerns about inflation, making gold a safe haven asset amid rising inflation.
